Looking inside myself

I got my MRI and MRA images yesterday and today and it’s super wild to be able to dissect myself, reverse and repeat. It’s not everyday you get to see your brain structures, musculature, nerve pathways, and to watch your blood flow in real-time. It’d be even more fascinating if it wasn’t so frustrating. The analysis still needs to be done on the MRA but the MRI came back hard-normal. If the MRA comes back ok I don’t even know where we go from here.

Living in the future is pretty wild. I literally had my MRA done this morning and came home with motion images of the results. Thinking about how the whole thing works it almost seems like fiction. You excite some atoms, create a magnetic field, and then interpolate the resulting radio frequency scan. Put that all together and you can see differentiated structures and functions.

I initially wanted to write some more tonight about stuff that’s been on my mind all day, but now that I sit down to do it, nothing is coming.
